As we formally begin our A2 studies, students will be quizzed on both vocabulary and spelling words from their Reading and Writing Notebook. The quiz is scheduled for Thursday, September 11th.
-
Vocabulary will be taken from the Communication Book (p.47) and the RWN (pp. 247, 250, and 254). Students are expected to demonstrate knowledge of definitions as well as correct word usage by multiple choice of definitions, and picture recognition.
-
Spelling will focus on irregular plural forms found in the RWN (pp. 252 and 256). Students will need to know the singular and plural spelling of the words. The quiz will consist of true or false questions and fill-in the spelling graph.
Story words from Week 2 #9-25; these words will be quizzed randomly with fill-in-the-blank passages, true or false questions
In preparation, we will be studying these words in depth, with particular emphasis on accurate spelling, meanings, and appropriate usage in sentences. Students are encouraged to review daily to build confidence and mastery.
