Week 13
Week 13: After an exciting Sports Day on Saturday, we will begin a new Reading Street story, “Jalapeño Bagels.” This story follows Pablo, a boy with a Mexican mother and Jewish father, as he chooses a baked good to represent both cultures for his school’s International Day. Through helping his parents in their bakery, Pablo discovers that jalapeño bagels are the perfect symbol of his blended heritage.
