Week 9

 Week 9 Midterm Exam Schedule and Information

Dear Parents,

Week 9 marks the beginning of our Midterm Exams. Please review the following schedule and important details carefully:

  • Listening Exam:
    Scheduled for Thursday, October 30th, during Period 2.
    We will use Period 1 for our final review, followed by a brief bathroom and water break before the exam begins.

  • Oral Presentation (Biography Exam):
    The Oral Biography Presentations will also begin on Thursday, October 30th, during Period 7.
    Students will be randomly assigned on Monday, October 27th to determine their presentation day.
    No postponements will be permitted.
    Presentations will continue on Friday, October 31st (Period 7) and Monday, November 3rd (Period 3).
    All A2 students are expected to complete their oral exams within these three days.

  • Written Exam:
    Scheduled for Tuesday, November 4th, 2025.
    The exact time will be announced once confirmed by the school.

Please continue encouraging your child to study and review all materials in preparation for these exams. I will be providing study sheets and review materials to support their learning.

Week 3

  This week will be an intensive week of learning as we complete The Man Who Invented Basketball . Students will be introduced to a new set of story words, though words #7, #8, and #22 will not be included in testing out of respect for personal beliefs and values . Alongside the story words and story comprehension, students will also focus on grammar with an introduction to pronouns. To conclude the week, our unit test on Thursday will cover the key components taught throughout these daily lessons. Week 4 begins with a new story of Hottest, Coldest, Highest, Deepest Week 4 PPT This expository text details some of the most amazing places on Earth. There is information about the longest river—the Nile—to the snowiest place on Earth—Mt. Rainier and many other facts and interesting places. This week, Sensay will be implemented for homework.
