Week 4 spelling words (#8–25) are listed in the Communication Book. Students are expected to focus on the correct spelling, definitions, and appropriate usage of each word. A spelling assessment will take place on Thursday, March 5th.

Throughout the week, students will participate in structured learning activities using their RWN lessons, handouts, and additional supplemental reinforcement practices designed to strengthen both comprehension and spelling accuracy. These activities will help students develop a clear understanding of each word and its proper use.

Please encourage your child to review and practice these words daily at home to ensure they are well prepared for the upcoming assessment.

Week 3

  This week will be an intensive week of learning as we complete The Man Who Invented Basketball . Students will be introduced to a new set of story words, though words #7, #8, and #22 will not be included in testing out of respect for personal beliefs and values . Alongside the story words and story comprehension, students will also focus on grammar with an introduction to pronouns. To conclude the week, our unit test on Thursday will cover the key components taught throughout these daily lessons.
