Week 14 PPT Vocabulary and Spelling Words   

Week 14 introduces a new story, The Man Who Named Clouds, along with new vocabulary, spelling, and phonics concepts from Reading Street. This unit can be quite challenging for students because of its scientific content and complex concepts. To support student understanding and engagement, I will incorporate a variety of interactive activities, particularly those focused on learning cloud names and identifying different types of clouds. My goal is to make the material both meaningful and enjoyable while encouraging students to build confidence in their reading and science-related skills.

Reminder: Our week 14 vocabulary and spelling quiz will be on Thursday, 5/14, period 2

Week 3

  This week will be an intensive week of learning as we complete The Man Who Invented Basketball . Students will be introduced to a new set of story words, though words #7, #8, and #22 will not be included in testing out of respect for personal beliefs and values . Alongside the story words and story comprehension, students will also focus on grammar with an introduction to pronouns. To conclude the week, our unit test on Thursday will cover the key components taught throughout these daily lessons.
